The Surf House

CHICABRAVA™ offers an additional camp location at our Surf House right on the beach in San Juan del Sur. It’s a great option for those who would like to be closer to all of the action and local flavor in town, and save a bit of money while doing so! The Surf House has loads of space in the hip open-air lounge area. Relax in the hammocks, on the couches, or hang out in the beachfront store at the front of the Surf House! Our three rooms are cozy and private with cold A/C and two shared baths. You can also walk to all of the many shops, bars, and restaurants in town as they’re all right down the street! The surfing instruction program is the same as our regular camp at the Cloud Farm. For those who want the private secluded escape of a luxury retreat, we still recommend the Cloud Farm. For those who want to be closer to the action and get a feel for life in town, we recommend the Surf House.

Please note that, while Nicaragua has great amenities and spectacular food and experiences to enjoy, it is still a third world country and infrastructure in Nicaragua is not the same as where you may be coming from. Electricity and water are valuable and scarce resources and, as in many developing countries, we sometimes have water and power outages or “brown outs” that can run from a few hours to a full day. Our camp is equipped with a water tank and loads of candles and matches in case we experience one of these infrequent outages while you are here. We just want you to keep this in mind when choosing to travel to Nicaragua.

Surf House is ONLY $990/person in a shared room (2-3 chicas per room) for the week. $100 discount for signing up with a friend! Private rooms available for $1590/person. This is a great option for those who would like to be closer to the action and local flavor of town!
