Things to do
When you come to CHICABRAVA™ you will certainly have no lack of exciting things to do. Please ask our staff, or register at the SurfHouse Store for any of the below activities:
Massage: All guests at CHICABRAVA™ are invited to enjoy a complimentary one hour healing full body massage by our licensed massage therapist.
Yoga for Surfers: Yoga is a mind-clearing practice as well as a valuable tool to improve your surfing by increased flexibility and core stabilization. Learn ways to increase your stability and power whether you are just starting to surf or looking for ways to strengthen your surfing maneuvers. There will be three classes for camps at the Cloud Farm and two classes for camps at the Surf House.
Boating: Weather permitting we’ll take a boat trip to a private beach and surf with no one else out! Let us know if you’d like to troll for fun for fish along the way! (Not included for Beginner/Intermediate camps at the Surf House).
Shopping: There is plenty of shopping to be done in San Juan del Sur from cute beachwear and t-shirts to artisan crafts and jewelry. CHICABRAVA™ even has our own beachfront surf shop with everything from surfboards, wax and sunscreen to our own CB logo t-shirts and rashguards, cool jewelry, stickers, and awesome clothes from Billabong, Roxy, RipCurl and more!
Nightlife: Bring a cute outfit or two to go out in the town while you’re here to enjoy the local nightlife, live music, and Latin discos! Local beer and rum are only about $1!
Zip Line Canopy Tour: Zoom through the rain forest canopy past monkeys and sloths at San Juan del Sur’s very own canopy tour ($35/person)!
Horse back riding on the Farm: Tour the organic farm at the Cloud Farm on horseback, catching glimpses of the volcanoes Maderas and Concepción emerging from giant Lake Nicaragua and fabulous views of the entire Pacific coast ($20/person).
Sailing: Minimum 4 people( can be paired with other groups)
- Full Day Sail ($60) 11am-6pm, 7 hours, includes: gourmet lunch, open bar, appetizers served all day
- Sunset Sail ($35), 2:30pm-6pm, 3 hour sunset sail, includes: open bar, appetizers served throughout entire trip
- Killer Mai Tai Sail ($50), 1pm-6pm, 5 hours, special ”killer mai thai” served all day, includes: open bar, appetizers all day
- Half Day Sail (40), 1pm-5pm, 4 hours, includes: open bar, appetizers all day
Fishing Trips: Minimum 4(can be paired with other groups)
- 25 foot Panga, $252/half day or $352/full day
- 31 foot Panga, $352/half day or $452/full day
Snorkeling : Minimum 4 (can be paired with other groups), 4 hours, $30/pp, includes: fruit platter, optional fishing, remote locations
ATV: No minimum

Horseback Tours: Maximum 6 people
- 1/2 day rural Nicaragua and beach ride. ($59), 5 hours, transportation: morning ride 7:30 am or afternoon ride 1pm. Includes: boots, hat, photography shoot of your ride
- Sunset beach ride ($65), transportation: 2:30 pick up
- Full day tour($75), transportation: 9:30 am pick up. Includes: boots, hat, photography shoot of your ride, lunch
- Two beach bonanza($75), playa Escamequita, playa las tablas
- Ride the ridge –mountaintop vistas($65)
- Nature reserve trail ride ($39), 2 hours, 450 acre private reserve
