“Life is a journey, not a destination” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Surfing, like life, is also a journey, not a destination….a mystical, challenging, rewarding, at moments frustrating, and in others triumphant journey. Here at Chica Brava, we are grateful to be on the ride, and especially grateful to all the wonderful guests who come from near and far to join in our journey, while also embarking on their own.

This week we were joined by four truly exceptional women who’s wonderful spirits literally attracted magic. They stayed up at the enchanting Cloud Farm where they were greeted each morning by light drizzles and rainbows to follow. The surf conditions throughout the week were perfect, as we explored Playa Remanso, Maderas and Escameka. Each day brought something new and exciting, whether it was another delicious meal, a new beach, or a subtle surf discovery. And it was these ladies fantastic attitudes and bliss in the mystery that attracted such magical energy.

Shelly and Debbie traveled together from Austin, Texas, ready for an adventure full of surf, excitement, laughter and fun. Shelly works in mortgages and Debbie is an acupuncturist who left the corporate world a few years back to pursue her calling as a healer. Florence joined us from San Francisco where she works as a legal advisor, and she has definitely got some great advice, on life, careers, boys, and everything in between. Our fourth guest was Christine, who is originally from France but has been living in the States for over twenty years. She is a legend in her own right, one of the first women to climb Mt. Everest and a general all around bad ass who has lived and worked around the world and has passion for life and living it fully that is nothing short of contagious.

These ladies are the type of ladies who have a twinkle in their eye – a twinkle that brings about whales and dolphins, monkeys and rainbows, beautiful days, and majestic nights sprinkled with the glow of fireflies! They took their magic to sea on the Pelican Eyes sailboat, rode some superb waves and improved incredibly, enjoyed the charm of San Juan, and shared nourishing conversation over truly phenomenal meals prepared by the Cloud Farm staff. Check out Christine’s recap on the week and the amazing rainbow scenery at the Cloud Farm!

Thank you for bringing your magic to Chica Brava, ladies. Until our paths cross again on this wonderful journey called life, continue gifting the universe with your enchanting energy and positive vibes.

Keep it real, keep it magical, and embrace the mystery!
