This week has been truly amazing. It’s been a real work out, but also a work in. By this, I mean that our Chica BravaS had to trust themselves and go over their personal limits. Surfing bigger swell and also the beaches up north, the girls had to give their everything, and guess what?! They did!

Most of these girls have joined the retreat once or twice before, actually only 3 out of 7 were here for the first time with us! We know, it’s pretty addictive, we all want to come back right?! So here it goes: we met these awesome ladies on Sunday at Playa Hermosa! It was a challenging day for everyone, standing up for the first time in white water, or taking the big sets at the back for our intermediate chicas! A good sunset yoga helped to stretch and make sure the muscles are ready to do it again the next day! Later in the week, we took a car up north to Playa Amarillo where the girls could all paddle on the outside and catch challenging waves, it was truly amazing to see all the confidence and the commitment from these young women.
Our intermediate chicas also paddled out at Santana and got some massive waves, we were all really impressed! Add to this epic day a circus workshop (silks & acroyoga) and a perfect night out at the Cerveceria watching the “Open Mic show”! What a day, what a week!
We finished the week surfing beautiful Remanso, having some well deserved massages and going out all together! Our first stop was Pacha Mama, what do surfers girls do when they go out? An “indoboard” balance challenge! The Chica BravaS totally killed it! They attracted a little crowd and people were super impressed by their skills! After this, we watched a beautiful fire & silks show from our friends at Momentom Collective, and went out at Iguana’s. We danced all night, so much fun, so much positive energy shared. It’s been an amazing week again at Chica Brava, we’re looking forward seeing you all (again)!!!
