We had a full house at Casa Bella in the Cloud Farm. Chica Brava hosted two houses so it’s safe to say that the chicas were owning the peak the whole week. Casa Bella was full of eight wonderful ladies. A group of friends from Atlanta came looking for a fun surfing experience to enjoy together as best friends…and what better place than Chica Brava.

Most of these girls had surfed before so they all had some experience. Belinda and Michelle had surfed in Costa Rica and Sri Lanka!! They came to Chica Brava to improve their surf, which they did in no time. Michelle was riding waves like it was an everyday thing, going down the line with such style. Belinda is a go big or go home kinda girl! She would paddle to the biggest waves, full on commit, and most of the time cruise all the way in. Let’s not forget how she nailed a floater… BEAutiful!

Dorsey and Annie can be described with only two words: such legends! Best friends since forever, and like most of the girls they play Ultimate Frisbee together. Costa Rica and Florida are some of the places they’ve surfed together. Dorsey wanted to learn how to read the waves and oh did she! She was on it…she would find the peak, get the wave, and surf all the way in like it was no big thing. Annie is such a trooper, dominating every peak she paddled for this week. She wanted to gain confidence in the water, did you Annie? “If you eat it you eat it,” by the end of the week she was unstoppable…literally.

Jackie came to Chica Brava with zero experience in surfing…so she says. In no time she was up on a board surfing, just like that. Jackie wanted to pop-up and she didn’t only pop up, but was riding the beautiful green waves of Nicaragua. Annie and Jackie are teachers whom work with Lesley.

Lesley, like the other girls has surfed before and came to Chica Brava to nail her turtle roll. Lesley was catching her own waves all week, and cruising down the line. Even though paddling out wasn’t her favorite thing, she did own those turtle rolls.

Holly and Jen are part of this amazing circle of friends. They’ve surfed in Costa Rica and some other places as well and came to Chica Brava to enjoy themselves and surf errrrday! Jennifer a lawyer, wanted to cruise down the line and she did with such style. Nothing could stop this girl, NOTHING. A real inspiration this girl is, by the end of the week this chica was riding every possible wave in the ocean. Holly oh Holly! What to say?! A rockstar. Her goal was to pop up. She not only popped up but turned down the line, What?! YES, she was cruising down beautiful green waves.

Take a look at our video, and find out why all these ladies left as Chica Bravas!

Good memories were made in Nicaragua, including a canopy tour, some rocking out in the car, dawn patrols and we can’t forget about the dropping in can we? (Dorsy and Annie). These girls came to a surf camp but they were so good that at the end it was just a bunch of friends taking over the line up….I’m just being honest.
