Well this week was another great one for the books! We had four lovely ladies here at the Surf House, one of which was a return chica from San Francisco! This week the waves were a little big so we surfed a few days right out in front of Chica Brava.
First up was Lauren, from Pittsburgh. She didn’t have much experience on a surfboard, but loved being in the ocean. In only a few days she was a paddling, powerhouse and was paddling for her own waves! By the end of the week she was on the outside, paddling into her own waves and cruising down the line.
Jennifer, from California, told us she only had a few lessons prior to attending Chica Brava. Are you sure Jennifer? By midweek she was taking waves all on her own and turning left and right. Jennifer left us a little early this week, but only because she decided to do a little solo trip, volcano boarding! Hope you had fun!
Nikki, from San Francisco, was our return chica! She attended Chica Brava in 2012, and had not surfed much once. Well surfing is just like riding a bike, after a few days she was paddling to the peak and nailing the pop-up. On Friday, she paddled to the outside and caught some really nice waves. Come back again soon!
Kaitlynn, our Chica Brava from British Columbia, did not have much experience in the art of wave riding, but she did have experience in kicking butt. She mastered the pop-up in no time. Kaitlynn was super motivated to really give surfing a shot, so she will be attending next week’s camp! Can’t wait to see you out in the water at the end of the week!

These ladies had an amazing trip this week! They squeezed in time for a stunning sailboat ride, shopping and enjoying all the awesome food San Juan del Sur has to offer. Two of the chicas, Jennifer and Lauren, even had time to attend a cross-fit class!! Come back soon ladies!
