Well, what a perfect week that was at the Cloud Farm. We were blessed with seven Chica Bravas sharing sun, sand, and of course a lot of surfing! We had girls of all levels on this camp and by the end of the week, everyone was catching waves consistently!

Sarita and Cynthia, mother and daughter from Houston, joined us this week having no surfing experience. What can I say, these girls rocked! Sarita’s determination to surf was on point. Paddling into her own waves and riding them down the face. Cynthia put in her all, and by the end of the week she was popping up consistently and riding her waves to the beach.

Lisa and Sumi were two friends from New York City. Lisa being a keen surfer wanted to share the passion for surfing with her friend Sumi. Lisa progressed massively throughout the week, there weren’t many waves Lisa left unridden. Sumi only taking one lesson prior to joining us here, was a natural catching lots of long waves (predominately lefts) and riding them all the way in.

Kavita was a little bundle of joy to have around the camp this week. Her energy was so positive and she was always smiling. Catching loads of waves and pumping down the line, there was no stopping her! This girl was laughing and hooting so much she had no voice by the end of the week. I hope it comes back soon Kavita!

Allie, also from New York City, joined us in Nicaragua straight from Costa Rica, where she was surfing with her friends. Being a passionate snowboarder it didn’t take long for Allie to find the feel for surfing. Being a keen traveller, Allie had lots of experiences to share with the group. Keep surfing chica!

Joelene joined us all the way from Melbourne, Australia. She started off her travels with us here at Chica Brava. Getting the hang of her new shortboard at the beginning of the week, Joelene was riding some beautiful waves. Enjoy your travels Joelene!

These chicas sure put in the surf time this week. As well as surfing everyday we did two dawn patrols one of which was at the experienced surf break Playa Maderas. To stretch out our tired muscles after a lot of surfing, the chicas did pool side yoga in the mornings. Oh did it hit the spot!

Eating fresh, organic food from the farm prepared by our lovely house staff was delicious. We enjoyed the locally sourced fish and meat along with the traditional Nica cuisine and fresh coffee. Exploring the Farm on horseback and watching the gorgeous sunsets never gets old here in Nicaragua. Safe travels everyone and come back soon!
