Every good thing comes to an (sort of) end…

I had the amazing opportunity to be a Chica Brava this year. I’m a Puerto Rican girl who lives for waves and some vitamin D, provided by the sun. I came to Chica Brava with a stoke for teaching what I love and doing it in the sickest place possible: Nicaragua. I arrived in San Juan del Sur looking for a new adventure and I can honestly say that I got way more than that…

Chica Brava became my family in no time. I haven’t been more welcomed in any other place, than my home, in my life. Any feeling of loneliness went away once I met Anna (my future awesome friend and manger to be) and Noelani (my beautiful island sister and at the moment manager). That first month was beautiful. I can still remember my first group and the feeling of loving my job, oh my goodness. Any person would envy how much I loved my life and what I did for a job, I’m just being honest =). Let’s not mention how complete I was when I met the legend of a housemate I had, Naomi. She arrived a month after I did but it only took a night out to become instant best friends and the official social media of Chica Brava. My times with her are priceless.

I was known in Chica Brava for having the sickest groups, but honestly I think they were all pretty sick. I did have some legends that I hope I will get to see sometime soon. This being said I want to thank every chica that was a part of my experience in Chica Brava. I can say I met some of the most amazing ladies I’ve met in my life, including Ashley Blaylock! All of you truly got the best of me. San Juan de Sur wouldn’t have been the same without all of you legends.

The word out is that my legacy is “the stories about me.” Those happy stories are only possible because of how good I had it with my amazing family that (I’m pretty sure) I’ll be part of again. So, once again, I want to thank everybody who made my experience awesome. I’m off to a whole other chapter but man oh man; it’s going to be hard to top this.

Chica Brava is and will always be one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. The fact that it was in one of my favorite places makes it a bit more special. Thanks to this opportunity I was able to reunite with some of my friends, and to meet, what I can call now, some of my best friends. I will be forever thankful for being able to be part of this family. I want to personally thank Ashley, Anna, Candace and Noelani because they were all essential keys for me to be part of this. I love you all and I will see you in no time!
