Instructors are very patient and knowledgeable and they have classes, goal setting and check in’s daily. They are empowering and honest with your instruction and adjust to your personal needs. I left for my first solo journey out of the county at 41 years old. I had one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I was safely picked up at the airport and transported with 3 other wonderful solo women travelers to Surf Camp at Chica Brava where I was greeted by a very friendly, outgoing staff. We were shown all the local hangouts, restaurants, and given the option of doing nothing…or everything. We surfed each day and because there were only four of us travelers this particular week, it was practically a private lesson! “I attended the Chica Brava surf camp with 11 friends and we had the time of our lives! The setting for the Cloud Farm accommodations was idyllic with an infinity edge pool overlooking the rain forest and bay. We were challenged physically every day but were also pampered with delicious food and fun activities like yoga, massages, zip lining, and a catamaran trip. With the supportive instruction of their surf professionals, our entire group of novice surfers were up and riding waves by the end of day one. “My friend and I joined an over-40’s camp at the Cloud Farm in early November and cannot recommend this experience highly enough. The Cloud Farm is stunning, open air, and surrounds an infinity pool overlooking the coast. But more important is the surf camp experience. Logistics are taken seriously and well communicated. The staff is truly amazing- perfectly chosen, fun, friendly, caring, and serious about getting the job done teaching you how to surf. The activities of the week from daily surfing to yoga, the boat trip, optional horseback rides and evenings out, and nightly surfing movies combine for a varied and totally engaging, fun week.”
