Women packing surf boards on top of Chica Brava SUV

The French American Connection

In my opinion there is no such thing as the perfect wave. Regardless of skill level and ability, each day is different and the way in which we approach both life and surfing also differs as we arise each day. Therefore I believe that different waves appeal at various times, dependent upon the soul surfer outlook that changes with the tides. However the waves on offer last week for our four gorgeous gynecologists from Quebec and our lovely lass from Philly were darn near ideal!

Starting out with smaller waves at the beginning of the week eased our ladies into surfing, some never having surfed before! The swell picked up during the week which gave our ladies the perfect chance to push their comfort zones and paddle into some big waves.

Women hanging 10 at a beach in Nicaragua.Holly our sexy mama from Philadelphia had never surfed before and arriving at Chica Brava finally accomplished a long awaited goal. Learning to surf was an exciting challenge that Holly faced with enthusiasm and a smile always plastered on her face!

Andrea our style queen whose paddle made it look like she was taking a stroll along the beach, caught virtually every wave she wanted with a hidden strength. Riding those waves with style, Andrea made it look too easy!

Woman dropping in on a wave in Nicaragua.Tough and sweet at the same time, Josee’s determination helped her drop into some big waves during the week! Always encouraging and positive regardless of the situation, Josee is a surf sister for life.

Our tranquila chica, Gen, was a superstar on the waves. From the get go, Gen was paddling into her own waves and taking each drop without hesitation! A fantastic week abounded with waves galore- and Gen certainly made the most of the waves on offer in Nica. Keep surfing chica!

Vanessa was full of surprises with her dry sense of humor, crazy stories and random burps she had us laughing all week. By the end of the week, Vanessa was riding down the line and loving every minute of it!

Arriving as friends and leaving as surfing sisters. The ocean has an uncanny knack for forging deeper bonds between soul surfers who are gifted with the chance to share waves and share smiles.
