The Cloud Farm was filled with determined Chica Bravas this week! Every chica was bitten by the surfing bug, and surely will continue to surf and hopefully find their way back to Nicaragua. The waves had some size to them, but every chica held her own. They all felt the drop and paddled back out smiling from ear to ear. We also got to surf the bay in front of Chica Brava!

Vanessa, from Miami, is an avid paddle boarder and grew up in the ocean. She wanted to learn to surf, so she could surf with her brother. By midweek she was popping up, and riding to the beach. This chica also knew how to relax, by throwing in a couple extra massages and lounging by the pool at Pelican Eyes. Thanks chica for the awesome towels and gifts at the end of the week!

Rebecca, from New York, had never surfed before, but with her natural ability to ride down the line, we think she might have been lying. By day one she was riding to the beach, and by the end of the week she was dropping in on some steep waves. Let’s know if you take a steep drop out in Montauk!

Sophia, also hailing from New York, nailed her pop-up this week and was riding to the shore on every wave. Going straight from the surf to the snow she took off for a skiing adventure after her week at Chica Brava! Have fun and come back to surf the warm waters of Nicaragua!

Kavita came a day early to get her taste of San Juan del Sur before heading up to the Cloud Farm. Having surfed before she just needed a few pointers in order to start surfing right to the beach. Kavita also stayed a few extra days after camp and rocked some one-on-one lessons. We hope your next surfing adventure lands you at Chica Brava!

Lastly, is our good friend Alethea, coming from Alabama but now residing in San Juan del Sur. She wanted to learn to surf so she could paddle out with the instructors here at Chica Brava. After the first hour she was ripping on the waves at Playa Remanso. After a week at Chica Brava she can paddle to the outside, turtle roll, and catch her own waves! Check out what she had to say about her week at Chica Brava.

As always, the Cloud Farm provided us with amazing meals and plenty of time to relax by the pool. The catamaran provided for some bonding time, and our boat ride to the surf was also an unforgettable experience.  Don’t worry chicas we will have you pool noodle and a Toña waiting for you when you come back!
