This weeks camp was held at the beautiful cloud farm. These chicas truly enjoyed the luscious scenery and consistent waves, which made it such a fun filled week. Though they were all solo travelers, three of our four Chica Bravas were from the same city, NYC!!!!
Elizabeth, from outskirts of Seattle, enjoys her time skiing the outback. From the freezing snow to hot sunshine, she didn’t take long to settle in. Already having surfing experience, she wanted to improve the consistency of her pop up. Throughout the week, it was a pleasure to see the progress of Elizabeth, catching waves and riding them to the beach. Keep up the good work chica!
Margaret blessed us with her presence from New York City. Being an experienced surfer and traveller, she came with an enthusiastic attitude. Throughout the week Margret was surfing down the line of some perfectly, clean waves. Not only was she surfing everyday this week but to top it off on the day after she returned, she did a half marathon. We all wish you the best Margret, and we’re thinking about you!
Heidi, also from the big city of New York, brought her own style to Chica Brava this week. Having a lot of snowboarding experience, it didn’t take long for Heidi to get a natural feel for surfing. Throughout the week, Heidi gained confidence to paddle out in bigger waves and catch long rides to the beach. Keep Surfing Heidi!
Miriam, also from New York City, brought a lot energy to the group. Not only did she make everybody laugh, but she caught some awesome waves too! Spur of the moment Miriam, booked the Chica Brava camp just two days prior and we are so glad she did! As soon as Miriam mastered the pop up there was no stopping her. Catching her own waves by the end of the week this was one determined CHICA. Check out her video below:
Overall this was an awesome week! Sunset yoga by the pool over looking the town of San Juan Del Sur, volunteering with local children in town at Escuela Adelante, and enjoying mango smoothies together at Playa Remanso. We hope to see you all again soon!
