This week at Cloud Farm, we were blessed to host a great group of seven amazing women! All including a few of solo travelers and some family action – an aunt and a niece surfing together – this week was full of adventures and good memories.  As always, the week started with surfing, followed by a great sunset cruise to La Playa Blanca and ended all of our nights with great laughs and movies.

Jacqueline has been and lived all over, but is currently living in Philadelphia and actually joined us for two weeks! She did the first week in Surf House and topped off her trip with a relaxing stay at Cloud Farm. She was already amazing at the end of the first week, but after her second week with Chica Brava, she was riding down the line going left and right – which was her ultimate goal for her time with us.  Jacqueline’s week long roomie, Leah, was from California. Leah came to Chica Brava with the intention of catching a wave and standing up on it; and, by weeks end, she could paddle into her own waves and cruise down the line like a pro. Check out Leah’s video blog on her experience and why she ultimately chose Chica Brava!

Mari and Christine were traveling together – family style! An aunt and niece duo, both with some previous surfing/travel experience, they were on a full-on mermaid mission to Nicaragua! For their week with us, Mari wanted to pop up and Christine wanted to commit to and master her pop up. Mari mastered her pop up from the first day and perfected it as the week went on, and as for Christine “I don’t even”… she just took over the peak! Christine would take some of the biggest waves of the set and was fully committed. A+ in commitment girls, you both nailed it! “Honey Badger don’t care!”

Laurel from Seattle was a solo traveler. She stated that she hadn’t surfed before, but I’m pretty sure she tricked us. From day one, she was cruising down the line and catching her own waves! You would have never guessed that she didn’t surf prior to coming to Chica Brava – Such great style!

Overall this week was amazing! I always think Cloud Farm is magical, but this group just made it perfection. If we weren’t laying on the pool deck watching the stars or laughing so hard at YouTube videos and Surf Movies, we were singing in the car or making fools of ourselves dancing on our surfboards. Isn’t it incredible how strangers meeting for the first time can turn into such great friends in just a week? This week, we weren’t just friends, we were ‘The Seven Sisters’!
